Privacy
This page says what this site keeps about you, why, and for how long. It was written from the site itself rather than from a template.
We load nothing from another company
These pages request nothing from outside this site: no analytics tool, no font service, no content delivery network. No third party sees your visit, because we have not invited one.
Cookies
uc_visitor— a random number that tells one browser from another so a single visit is not counted twice. It lasts a year, carries no name and no address, and no page can read it from inside.- The session cookie — made when you sign in and gone when you sign out. It is what lets the site know you are you.
uc_external— made for a moment if you choose to sign in through Google or Facebook, then gone.
None of them is an advertising or tracking cookie.
What is recorded by a visit alone
Each visit is one row holding: the page opened, the time, the page you came from if there was one, your internet address, the country inferred from it, and the browser, operating system and kind of device.
An internet address is personal data, and we say so plainly rather than calling it "technical information".
What you give us
- The contact form — your name, your email, your telephone if you write it, and the subject and message. Your internet address is kept with them.
- Your account — if you have one, it holds your invoices and payments: the record of our dealings, and nothing gathered about you elsewhere.
How long
Visit records are deleted after six months by default. Accounting records — invoices and payments — are kept, because a financial record may not be erased.
Who sees it
Our own staff, and only as far as their work requires. We do not sell any of it and we do not trade it.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for anything that is not a financial record to be removed. Write to us from the contact page.
